Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items with attention to quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions and order processing
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately while providing friendly customer service
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables and food handling
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during busy hours in a fast-paced environment
- Assist with food safety management practices, including proper food handling and storage procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service or fast food restaurant environments, or café settings
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
- Previous retail sales experience or grocery store background is a plus for understanding retail math and customer interactions
