Job Overview
Our Retail Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience while maintaining the appearance, organization, and daily operations of Mossy Pond Pro Shop. This position requires professionalism, reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on products
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays and organize stock to enhance the shopping experience
- Assist customers with questions about merchandise and/or locate requested items in the store
- Stock shelves regularly, ensuring product availability and showcasing
- Handle customer inquiries in person or over the phone, communicate promptly and professionally
- Support e-commerce initiatives by processing online orders and coordinating in-store pickups, when needed
- Perform basic housekeeping tasks to keep the store looking fresh and inviting for all guests
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales and/or customer service preferred; enthusiasm for the hunting and outdoor world is a bonus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math to ensure accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for diverse customer interactions
- Social media knowledge and interest in product marketing is also a bonus for this role
- Excellent organizational skills to manage merchandising and inventory efficiently

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
