SUMMARY
The press operator is responsible for printing work in a timely manner with an eye for accuracy and quality as well as representing a positive image for Heuss Printing Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Running customer orders to specifications
- Occasionally helping in other departments as needed.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Receive questions and concerns from sales people and customers. Provide solutions to problems.
- Process orders in courteous, efficient and timely manner.
- Meet customer deadlines.
- Meet Heuss Printing deadlines (they probably are the same as customers.
- Check samples to ensure accurate final product. Request any necessary changes.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills to break down customer needs to basic printing functions.
- Prioritize work to ensure due dates are met.
- Must display cooperative behavior with coworkers and supervisors at all times.
- Must display positive and up beat attitude.
- Dress to maintain an appropriate attire to work with customers.
QUALIFICATIONS include the following. Other experience will be considered.
- Two years experience in a commercial print company.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment.
- Ability to catch problems with press plates and fixing the problem.
- Ability to maintain and fix press as needed (small maintenance repairs).
- Ability to understand and use computer printing programs.
- A basic understanding of printing and print processes as well as general knowledge related to design, prepress, imposition, press, bindery and mailing.
- Must be detail-oriented, accurate and proactive with excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Work in a fast paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
