Are you currently caring for a loved one who is over the age of 21 living with a disability that requires care assistance at home? There is a Georgia program that allows for compensation.
Requirements:
- Have Medicaid insurance or eligible to apply (such as receiving SSI or SSI disability)
-Over the age of 65 or minimum 21 years of age.
- Limited ability to care for self due to advanced age, physical disability, limited mobility, chronic illness etc.
If approved, your loved one can receive up to 40 hours of in home care per week covered by the program.
You would get compensated for the care.

Duties
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, medication assistance, medical appointment escort, supervision.
- Monitor and observe patient conditions to ensure safety and well-being
- Maintain documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any changes in condition
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment in accordance with health standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and update personalized care plans
