Ladoga Recovery Center is a new and emerging facility in Ladoga, IN, specializing in substance use disorder treatment, offering detox services and short-term residential recovery programs as a non-skilled facility.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared with attention to detail and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and ensure timely meal preparation.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and standards to ensure the highest quality of meals.
Experience: All are preferred
- Proven experience as a Cook in a short/long term residential facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation.
Shift: Dietary staff are expected to have availability for both shifts to offer more of a work/life balance for the entire staff.
- 6am to 2:30pm
- 10am to 6:30pm
- Rotating weekends
- Some holidays will be required
