Position Summary:
As a Line Cook, you will be an important part of our Kitchen Team, responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes and established standards. You will work in a fast-paced, fun environment, collaborating closely with other team members to ensure timely and accurate food production. The Line Cook position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
· Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, and chopping, according to recipes and portion sizes.
· Cooking: Cook and plate menu items accurately and efficiently, following established cooking methods and presentation standards.
· Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and standards before being served to customers.
· Timing: Coordinate food orders to ensure timely delivery and minimize customer wait times.
· Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
· Communication: Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members, including chefs, servers, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth operation during service.
· Adaptability: Be flexible and able to handle changes in menu items, ingredients, and kitchen procedures as needed.
· Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
Requirements:
· Previous experience working in a Kitchen or as a Line Cook is preferred, but not required.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to stand for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry objects, such as pots and pans, up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to withstand high temperatures in the kitchen environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
