Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Tax Associate or Tax Supervisor. This role is located in Coral Springs, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills, while remaining flexible and easily adaptable to changing priorities. The role also requires a candidate that has experience in the public accounting industry, working with a variety of clients and industries, as well as the tax seasons. Our firm prides itself in maintaining a true work/life balance, with keeping the extended work hours during busy season as minimal as possible.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of upper level, technical projects including individual, corporate, trust, and partnership tax returns at both the federal and state levels
- Preparation and/or review of quarterly payroll tax returns, and annual payroll tax filings.
- Preparation and review of tangible tax returns and annual Form 1099 filings.
- Ability to conduct tax research on specific client related tax matters that may come into play.
- Preparation and/or review of Compilation Engagements.
- Regular client communications both verbal and written, and maintaining superior client service.
- Self Management of tasks in tax tracking software (CCH Workflow) including: staffing assignments, managing deliverables, extensions, etc.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner, both in person and via phone or email.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient completion of tasks.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
- Provide support to upper management team.
- Provide internal cross-functional support with other departments/teams.
Experience & Education
- Tax Experience: 4+ years in accounting and tax-related role(s).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Tax, either received or seeking, is preferred
- CPA Licensed or CPA Eligible, is preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency and experience in using tax preparation software and tax research software (CCH Axcess or ProSystems Fx Suite proficiency is a plus)
