POSITION OVERVIEW
The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will assume full classroom responsibility for 4th Grade Math and Science instruction from October 19 through December 18, 2026. The selected candidate will follow established lesson plans and pacing guides, maintain classroom routines, and deliver focused, content-driven instruction consistent with Renaissance Academy's academic standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Deliver 4th Grade Math instruction following established TEKS-aligned lesson plans
▪ Maintain a structured, focused learning environment for 4th Grade students
▪ Deliver 4th Grade Science instruction including hands-on activities
▪ Communicate student progress and behavioral concerns to administration
▪ Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records throughout the assignment
▪ Follow all school policies, procedures, and professional expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ Bachelor's degree required (any field)
▪ Reliable, professional, and punctual
▪ Comfort with 4th Grade Math and Science content
▪ Ability to commit to the full assignment period: Oct 19 – Dec 18, 2026
▪ Experience working with elementary-age students preferred
▪ Respect for a structured, values-driven school environment
COMPENSATION
Rate: $16.50 per hour | Employment Type: Temporary / Hourly
This is a temporary assignment. Employment does not extend beyond December 18, 2026 without a written agreement from school administration.
