Northstar Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated and hands-on
Environmental Technician to join our growing team in
Indianapolis IN. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and making a real impact on environmental projects, this opportunity is for you.
Pay & Perks
- Hourly Pay: $18–$23/hour (based on experience)
- Weekly Hours: 40–50 hours on average
- Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours
- Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 (paid over first 3 months)

What You’ll Do
- Support environmental field projects across central Tennessee and occasionally nationwide
- Operate power tools, earthmoving equipment, landscaping equipment, and surveying equipment
- Safely drive pickup trucks, compact loaders, and mini-excavators
- Record daily work activities using mobile apps or computer software
- Travel via company vehicle or commercial airline as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to travel (overnight and out-of-state) 30% of the year
- Experience with hand tools and light equipment preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in construction (civil), environmental remediation, or landscaping
- Certifications such as valid DL and ability to obtain a Medical Card.
Working Conditions
- 85% outdoor work in all weather
- Flexible work weeks (4x10, 5x8, or project-based)
- Occasional nights and weekends
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally

Job Requirements:
- Background in construction (civil), environmental remediation, or landscaping
- Certifications such as valid DL and ability to obtain a Medical Card.
- Clean driving record, no DUI
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Must possess basic math and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high standard of workmanship
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in extreme weather and/or temperatures
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
Wage Range: 18.00 - 23.00 per hour
