Palm Thai Bistro is looking for a reliable Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing fresh ingredients, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. During service, you'll also assist on the line by preparing appetizers and supporting the kitchen team.
Pay: $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time
What You'll Do:
- Assist with daily prep work, including cutting meats and vegetables
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain freshness and properly rotate ingredients
- Operate the hot appetizer station, including grilling and frying
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy hours
- Assist with inventory and help track food supplies
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience
- Available to work on weekends and holidays
- Reliable, professional, and organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 60 pounds at a time
Training is provided for the right candidate with a great attitude and willingness to learn.
