Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. Your expertise in handling bulk trailers, drop decks, lowboy, stainless steel tankers, and vac trailers will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery schedules while maintaining adherence to route driving protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; document all findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and incident reports; communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or route changes.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and in some cases hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat).
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
