Resource Teacher
Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is seeking a full-time Resource Teacher for the upcoming school year.
We are looking for a faith-filled, organized, and student-centered educator who can provide targeted academic support while fostering a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment rooted in Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities

Provide differentiated instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student growth and achievement

Develop and implement instructional strategies, accommodations, and interventions

Monitor student progress and maintain organized documentation and communication with families

Foster a structured and positive learning environment with clear expectations

Integrate Catholic values and character formation into daily instruction and interactions

Participate fully in school duties, meetings, liturgies, activities, and community events

Use instructional technology and educational resources effectively to support student learning

Serve as a positive role model and witness to the mission of Catholic education
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, or related field
-
Virginia licensure or VCEA certification preferred

Experience working with students in a resource or academic support setting preferred

Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

1 year teaching experience preferred

Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

Salary Range: $46,000 - $75,000 annually. Compensation is based on a step pay scale that provides pay based on degree level and years of teaching experience, ranging from $46,000 for a Bachelors with less than 1 year experience to $75,000 for Masters with 10 or more years of experience with proration for positions scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week. Teachers who hold a Master's degree receive an additional $1,500 annually.
