Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Home Health
Agency: Genesis Home Care
Schedule: Part-Time (3 days/week, Monday–Friday)
Territory: Chesterhill, McConnelsville, Malta, Stockport, Bremen, Rushville, Corning, Hemlock, Junction City, New Lexington, New Straitsville, Shawnee, Moxahala, and Glouster
Position Summary
- Provide skilled in-home physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and achieve therapy goals safely in the home setting.
- Monitor and document patient progress, perform prescribed therapeutic exercises and modalities, and communicate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary care team in compliance with agency and Medicare guidelines.
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, safety practices, home exercises, and the proper use of assistive equipment to promote independence and reduce reliance on agency support.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, schedulers, and caregivers to ensure coordinated patient care, timely documentation, and effective treatment planning.
- Qualifications include an active PTA license, at least 1 year of acute care experience (home health preferred), and a valid driver’s license with active auto insurance.
