Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Come join our team at the R Farmer's Market & Kitchen. This is a fast casual style of dining. Guests order at the table. Guests may come in just for bakery items, so you will also cash them out. When guests leave, you clear the tables and keep the dining space clean. This is a tipped position. Wage based on experience. Food is served from 7am - 3:30pm. Some food handling required like making sandwiches. And everyone is cross trained to operate the Coffee station.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Toast POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a grocery store, café, or similar food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to serving.
