Fire Suppression Technician/Inspector (Pre-engineered [Kitchen] Fire Systems)

Including products and services to protect the premises and compliance with property insurance providers, local, state, federal codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a full-time experienced fire protection professional to join our growing team as a Fire Suppression Technician/Inspector. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technician, a hands-on contributor, playing a key role in delivering on our service promise to our customers, mentoring and training our team members. The candidate will be pivotal in ensuring that our customers fire protection systems are up to code, regularly inspected, tested, and repaired as needed.
General Duties
- Test, inspect, service, and troubleshoot wet and dry pre-engineered fire suppression systems from a variety of manufacturers, including Ansul, Badger, Range Guard, Buckeye, and Pyro-Chem, etc.,
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals to assist customers in the inspection, modification, installation and/or repair of fire systems
- Conduct and oversee inspection of fire systems, extinguishers, underground pipping, etc., in accordance with NFPA 10, NFPA 17/17A and UL 300, NFPA 96, and other standards as may be designated
- Assist and collaborate with the Repair Team in recommending repairs to be performed on the fire systems, as needed
- Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs as needed
- Prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports for customer’s and local Fire-Marshals
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with customers with the desire of delivering stellar service
- Consult and advise customers regarding potential safety issues
- Other general duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Ideal Candidates Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in some combination wet and/or dry fixed fire suppression systems, a must
- Knowledge of fire systems/fixed systems and tools, a must
- Proficient in installation/servicing of fixed fire suppression systems
- Working Knowledge of NFPA codes and local fire codes
- Oregon Fire Extinguisher and Fixed Fire Suppression Certification of Fitness, a must
- ICC certification in industrial and/or pre-engineered system, a great plus or willingness to pursue the certification within 180 days
- Knowledge of fire extinguishers, a great plus
- Backflow device certification, a great plus
- Attention to details and documentation precision, a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, a must
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders multiple times per day, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Carry, move tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel regionally with some overnight stays as needed
- Clean driving record and current driving license, required

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

- Fire Systems (Kitchen, Sprinklers - Wet/Dry) Service: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- WA Sprinkler certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
- OR Sprinkler/Fixed Systems Certification (Required)
