Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing and repairing electrical systems according to blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, strip, and connect wiring and components
- Support the setup and operation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems on construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate installation
- Help with the use of testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is highly preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters
- Basic understanding of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, and NEC standards
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for electrical projects
- Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills
- Ability to support electricians in installing wiring, conduit, fixtures, and other electrical components
- Knowledge of frame carpentry related to electrical installations is a plus
