About the role
DermAdventures LLC d/b/a Veldheer Lineman Vault is hiring a paid Video Production Intern to support two Grand Rapids projects:
- Veldheer Lineman Vault (VLV), a training, nutrition, recovery, and football platform for offensive linemen
- The Lunch Lady, a scratch-cooked school lunch program
This is a hands-on role for a developing videographer/editor who wants recurring real-world production experience and meaningful ownership of the work. The position pays $22-$26 per hour from day one for 16-24 hours across four flexible partial days each week. It begins with an eight-week paid trial, with the potential for a raise and continuing work for an excellent fit.
What you will do
- Film recurring VLV training, interviews, action footage, and behind-the-scenes content
- Film The Lunch Lady cooking, food preparation, interviews, and service footage
- Capture stable, well-composed video with clean audio and practical lighting
- Produce vertical short-form content for social platforms
- Assist with longer edits and story-driven pieces
- Organize, label, back up, and transfer footage reliably
- Follow all approved location, privacy, supervision, and appearance-release procedures
Schedule and location
- 16-24 paid hours per week across four flexible partial days
- Filming is primarily on location in Grand Rapids, Michigan 49506
- Editing and media organization may be completed remotely when appropriate
- Target start date is August 24, 2026, or earlier by mutual agreement
What we are looking for
- Current student, recent graduate, or developing professional in film, media production, digital communication, journalism, photography, or a related field
- A portfolio showing strong camera work, clean audio, editing, or visual storytelling
- Experience with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
- Dependable communication, file organization, and follow-through
- Reliable transportation to Grand Rapids filming locations
- Ability to contribute thoughtfully to collaborative projects
Personal production equipment is helpful but not required. Any expected use of personally owned gear will be discussed and agreed upon separately.
Academic credit
We will cooperate with internship paperwork when a student's school approves the placement. Academic credit is determined solely by the school and is not guaranteed.
