Carry out lesson plans prepared by the classroom teacher
Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
Keep students focused and on task throughout the school day
Take attendance and complete any required classroom documentation
Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other assigned times
Communicate with teachers, administrators, and school staff
Help maintain a smooth learning experience while the teacher is absent
