About the Role
We are hiring a full-time Painter to support the coating and finishing of fabricated metal products such as piping, tanks, and structural components. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants to build skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will prepare, mix, and apply a variety of industrial coatings while following safety and quality standards. You will work with experienced team members, learn new equipment and techniques, and contribute to projects that meet customer requirements and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint metal parts such as pipe spools, structural steel, tanks, and machined components
- Mix, thin, and apply coatings according to instructions and specifications
- Apply coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment
- Measure coating thickness using wet and dry mil gauges
- Ensure materials are staged and ready before starting work
- Clean and maintain painting equipment to reduce downtime
- Properly dispose of excess materials and waste
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and stop work if conditions are unsafe
- Support other shop or production tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills, including measurements and percentages
- Ability to work independently and solve routine problems
- Willingness to learn new skills, tools, and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work safely in a shop or manufacturing environment
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift (with or without accommodation)
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
