This position is responsible and accountable for establishing quality early childhood environments that promote creativity, spontaneity, safety and over all early childhood best practice in the delivery of comprehensive preschool services. Ensures that the curriculum and care offered is consistent with Head Start regulations and policy as well as state licensing requirements. Provides supervision and support to classroom teaching staff to ensure that every child’s individual needs are addressed allowing them to develop cognitively, socially and physically. BA degree in early childhood education, or in elementary education, social work, or management with either completion of or working towards the equivalent coursework in early childhood education, in addition to early education teaching experience; and three (3) years related experience in progressively responsible supervisory positions in educational or child care institutions. Full time, all year insurance eligibility.
Pay: $54,434.16 salary + IPERS
