Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food service activities, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Support chefs and cooks with basic cooking tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and utensils
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
- Handle food products safely, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
- Assist with catering and special event setups when required
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Support team members in serving customers efficiently during busy periods
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills preferred
- Experience in meal preparation, food handling, or working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending as needed
