About the Opportunity
The Jewish News, a trusted community publication serving Hampton Roads, is seeking a motivated Advertising Sales Representative to develop relationships with local businesses and grow advertising revenue across our newspapers, magazines, special publications, and other print products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys networking, building relationships, and helping businesses connect with our engaged readership. If you're looking for flexibility, independence, and the opportunity to build from an existing book of business, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and develop new advertising clients throughout the Hampton Roads area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing advertisers.
- Meet with business owners to understand their marketing goals and recommend advertising solutions.
- Prepare proposals and present advertising opportunities.
- Grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with editorial and production staff to ensure client needs are met.
- Represent Jewish News professionally within the community.
- Meet established sales and revenue goals.
What We're Looking For
- Two or more years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, marketing, fundraising, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional presentation and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
