The following functions are considered essential to this position:
1. Assist new residents being admitted to their room. Unpack, enter name on clothes and any personal items, and then store clothes in resident’s room.
2. Required to assist residents in and out of bed and into wheelchair with the correct use of the transfer belt. May require the assistance of one or more CNA’s depending on weight and physical abilities of resident.
3. Required to assist residents with bathing.
4. Required to assist residents in dressing and undressing.
5. Required to assist residents in using the bathroom or peri care.
6. May be required to take vital signs of resident, e.g., temperature, blood pressure, and respirations and record information.
7. Required to assist resident to dining areas for meals. Required to pass food trays to individual residents in accordance with diet cards on trays. Required to assist in feeding of residents and reporting meal intake of residents to the Charge Nurse.
8. Required to strip bedding and replace with clean linens.
9. Required to assist in personal grooming of residents, e.g., brushing hair trimming fingernails and toenails.
10. If resident is bedridden due to illness, aide is required to turn resident intermittently as ordered by MD.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
