Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout resident rooms, common areas, kitchens, and dining spaces by performing thorough cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting tasks.
- Assist with meal preparation, food handling, and serving in accordance with food safety regulations to ensure quality and hygiene.
- Support dietary department operations by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and inviting for residents and guests.
- Help with food production activities such as portioning ingredients, setting up serving stations, and assisting culinary staff during meal times.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety standards while supporting meal service routines.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by addressing resident needs promptly and courteously.
- Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to sanitation protocols, cleaning schedules, and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation practices related to food safety standards.
- Experience in dietary aide roles or dietary departments is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle cleaning tasks alongside meal service responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Basic kitchen experience including cooking or meal preparation is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
