Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately record their needs.
- Prepare detailed repair orders using estimating software, including mechanical diagnostics, recommended services, and parts needed.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to understand vehicle issues such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, air brakes, and collision repairs.
- Upsell additional maintenance services by explaining benefits clearly and confidently to enhance vehicle longevity and safety.
- Manage customer expectations by providing transparent estimates and timelines for repairs or maintenance work.
- Follow up with customers on vehicle status updates and ensure their questions are answered thoroughly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism during payment processing.
- Document all service activities meticulously to ensure accurate records for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or repair shop environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diagnostics, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, air brakes, and collision repair.
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
- Previous experience in auto service writing or sales is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to facilitate test drives if needed.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while providing exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures combined with client communication skills ensures a positive experience for every customer.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
