Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a CDL Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including six and ten wheel dump trucks. As a key player in our logistics network, you’ll ensure timely delivery, proper load handling, and uphold safety standards on every trip. Your expertise in driving and load management will help keep our operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service to our customers.
Duties
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow designated routes diligently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Manage freight securely during transit, ensuring proper load distribution and securing cargo to prevent shifting or damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any vehicle issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and incidents in compliance with federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (A or B) for the vehicle types operated.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks is preferred for versatility in vehicle handling.
- Proven track record as a delivery driver or truck driver within a logistics or transportation environment.
- Familiarity with operating various truck types.
- Ability to load & unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts; experience with freight handling is a plus.
- Familiarity with paving and trips to and from the quarry.
- Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures on the road.
- Proof of completed OSHA 10hr course
- Willingness to be drug tested at any point in time and prior to start of employment

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
