Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pizza styles, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Execute food preparation tasks including dough stretching, topping assembly, baking, and finishing touches
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or seasonal specials
- Support high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and excellent customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous food industry experience with a focus on pizza or restaurant cooking preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food production
- Experience with dietary aide tasks or dietary department procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and recipe adherence
- Familiarity with fine dining or catering environments enhances your ability to deliver exceptional quality
- Demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely in high-volume settings
- Prior experience in culinary roles involving meal preparation, food service, or food handling is highly valued
