Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing customer order information, and supporting timely order fulfillment. This position serves as a key communication link between customers, production, warehousing, and internal teams to ensure accurate planning, inventory tracking, and shipment execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive and acknowledge customer purchase orders, confirming that quantities and pricing align with contractual requirements.
· Schedule production to optimize the use of production rooms, equipment, and labor while avoiding overuse or capacity conflicts.
· Communicate production schedules to customers and confirm alignment between SnackWerks and the customer on final timing.
· Track production using daily pallet tags from Production and regularly reconcile tag information against ERP inventory records.
· Create pack lists, and bills of lading in ERP, and provide the information needed to coordinate shipments with customers and the SnackWerks Warehousing team.
· Maintain pipeline data and facilitate regular discussions on active and upcoming projects.
· Serve as the first point of contact for customer questions, requests, and issue resolution.
Core Work Areas
· Customer Purchase Order Management: Understand capacity requirements and lead times, and accurately log purchase orders into the system.
· Production Scheduling: Coordinate ready-to-ship dates, line efficiencies, allergen progressions, and customer confirmations to support reliable scheduling.
· Finished Goods Tracking: Receive and log production information, then work with Operations to verify accuracy.
· Customer Allocation: Manage finished goods destinations and support customer system updates and communication.
Skills and Experience
Strong organizational and communication skills; attention to detail; proficiency with Excel; experience in vendor management, customer management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred, and prior experience in supply chain or customer service is strongly preferred.
Job Type
· Full-time – 100% on site.
Compensation
· Base Salary: $60,000
· PTO: 2 weeks
· 401k, 2% Company match - eligible to participate after 90 days employment
