EXPERIENCE
Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience is a plus, especially experience in a lead or supervisory position.
ServSafe certification is a plus. If not currently certified, the successful candidate must obtain ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Team Lead to join our retail management team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about retail sales, customer service, and team development. As an integral part of our store operations, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily activities, ensuring smooth store functions, and motivating the sales team to achieve outstanding results. Your energetic leadership will help foster a positive shopping environment, drive sales growth, and maintain operational excellence. This paid position offers valuable experience in retail management while empowering you to develop essential leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Support sales team members through training, coaching, and motivating to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure product availability and attractive displays
- Oversee cashiering activities, including cash handling, POS system operation, and transaction accuracy
- Participate in recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and onboarding new employees
- Ensure compliance with company policies on pricing, promotions, and store safety standards
- Help coordinate shift schedules, manage time effectively, and supervise staff during peak hours to optimize store performance
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales management or supervisory roles within the retail industry
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant manager experience
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with retail math, budgeting, merchandising, and operational management practices
- Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and team management strategies
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $13.73 - $15.00 per hour
