Job Summary -
We are looking for a compassionate and organized Meals on Wheels Supervisor to oversee the daily meal delivery operations for homebound seniors. This role ensures efficient meal distribution, supervises volunteers, and provides critical support to seniors in our community.
Key Responsibilities -
✔ Coordinate Meal Deliveries: Manage daily routing, update delivery sheets, and communicate with food service providers.
✔ Supervise & Support Volunteers: Train and coordinate volunteers for meal delivery, ensuring smooth operations.
✔ Monitor Client Needs: Track new client eligibility, complete service agreements, and communicate concerns to case managers.
✔ Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, process meal rosters, and complete month-end paperwork.
✔ Quality Assurance: Ensure proper food handling, monitor temperatures, and report deficiencies.
✔ Emergency Outreach: Contact clients during inclement weather to check on their well-being.
What We’re Looking For -
Education & Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent).
Skills: Strong communication, basic math, computer proficiency, and record-keeping abilities.
Attributes: Organized, compassionate, dependable, and sensitive to the needs of older adults.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and navigate stairs.
Travel Required: Yes (Valid Virginia driver’s license & reliable vehicle required)
