Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team handling cases in Tampa and Clearwater. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to advance their career while handling complex criminal cases in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal defense and DUI cases from initial consultation through trial
- Conduct serious felony jury trials and plea negotiations
- Perform legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Interview witnesses, review evidence, and develop case strategies
- Appear in court for hearings, arraignments, and trials
- Maintain client relationships and provide regular case updates
- Collaborate with team members and support staff
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 2+ years of criminal defense experience
- Proven experience with serious felony jury trials
- Strong courtroom presence and trial advocacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
Preferred Qualifications
- Background with State Attorney's Office or Public Defender's Office
- Experience with DUI defense
- Knowledge of Florida criminal law and procedures
- Established relationships within the local legal community

Schedule & Location
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Flexibility to work from Tampa and/or Clearwater offices as needed
- Some evening and weekend availability may be required for client needs
