The Children's Dental Center is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Dental Assistants to join our growing pediatric dental team in Oxford, Mississippi.

Part-Time Dental Assistant

Position Overview:
The Dental Assistant supports our dentists enhancing patient care and ensuring smooth practice operations. Responsibilities include clinical assistance, sterilization of equipment, patient education, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist dentists during procedures by preparing patients, materials, and instruments.

Lead daily operatory readiness and turnover.

Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of clinical supplies.

Maintain strict compliance with infection control protocols, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing dental instruments according to OSHA standards
-
Obtain diagnostic dental radiographs as appropriate.

Document patient histories, treatment notes, and charting accurately in EHR systems.

Educate and guide patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and general dental health.

Support front desk with clinical input as needed for scheduling or patient flow.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pediatric dental experience is preferred but not required

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, team members, and dentists.

Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Proficient in sterilization protocols, dental terminology, and EHR systems.

Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated commitment to patient care, privacy, and confidentiality.

Proficiency with dental software and basic computer skills preferred.
Additional Qualifications For the Full-Time Bilingual Position

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Ability to confidently speak, read, write, and comprehend both languages while communicating with patients, parents, caregivers, and team members.
Work Environment:

Primarily spent in a dental treatment area. Must be comfortable with standing or assisting patients for extended periods.

High-energy, with frequent interaction with patients and dental professionals.
