Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technician specializing in Obstetrics (OB) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The OB Surgical Tech will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures related to maternal and fetal health, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and surgical precision. This position offers an opportunity to work within a comprehensive hospital setting, contributing to critical care during obstetric and gynecological surgeries.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies specific to obstetric and gynecological procedures.
- Assist surgeons during a variety of surgeries including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and other maternal-fetal interventions by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgical procedures, ensuring patient stability and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, instrument counts, and sterilization processes within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic.
- Support infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital infection control policies.

Required Qualifications:
- Min 1 year of OB Surgical tech experience required
- BLS Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
