Facility Maintenance Technician with Custodial Duties to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational environment. This position combines hands-on maintenance responsibilities with routine cleaning tasks to support the overall function and appearance of our facility.
Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
- Inspect facility to identify repair and maintenance needs
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (filters, belts, lubrication, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and assist with repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Complete basic carpentry tasks including drywall repair, painting, flooring, and door/window hardware
- Maintain and repair building systems and equipment (motors, pumps, fans, etc.)
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and maintain inventory of tools and parts
Custodial Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting)
- Sanitize restrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Restock restroom supplies
- Respond quickly to spills or safety hazards
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and power washers
General & Grounds Support
- Assist with exterior upkeep including walkways and landscaping
- Remove trash and maintain building appearance
- Support team members with maintenance and cleaning projects
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA standards
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in maintenance, custodial work, or carpentry preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is a plus
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various conditions
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license preferred
