American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring an active NV RN license, ACLS/PALS/BLS certification, and 2+ years of pre-op, PACU, and Phase II experience.

Work in the Surgery department's PACU unit of a hospital setting
-
Care for a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric
-
Specialties include ENT, General, Ortho, GYN, OB, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Cath Lab
-
Common procedures include total joints, laparoscopic appendectomies/cholecystectomies, FESS, T&A, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, D&C, C-section, cardiac cath/pacemaker, and cardioversion

Patient ratios are 1:4 for Pre-op and Phase 2, and 1:2 for PACU
-
Uses Medhost and Pinpoint CQI EHR systems
-
Variable 10-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM
-
Weekend requirement is every other weekend, primarily on-call
-
Call requirements include one weekday and one weekend per month

Floating is required

Active NV RN license required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

ADN required

Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II experience required

Strong IV skills required
-
Prior acute hospital experience preferred, rural setting a plus

Previous travel assignment experience preferred

Provide nursing care across pre-op, PACU, and Phase II recovery for surgical patients

Fast-paced work environment requiring adaptability

Scrubs are furnished by the facility

Weekly orientations are offered

Facility is Joint Commission accredited

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
