Senior Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for a growing company in Florence, KY. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of progressive accounting experience and be able to work onsite 100% in Northern Kentucky. This position is direct hire and will pay between $75K and $94K annually.
Job Duties:-
Manage full-cycle accounting activities including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across general ledger accounts.

Maintain accuracy of financial records, including assets, liabilities, and operating expenses, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

Analyze financial results, variances, and trends, providing insight to leadership to support operational decision-making.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including cost analysis, inventory valuation, and production-related financial tracking.

Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and supply chain to ensure accurate financial data related to manufacturing and product distribution processes.

Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including multi-state tax calculations, filings, reconciliations, and audit support.

Research and interpret tax regulations to ensure proper application of sales and use tax rules across transactions, customers, and jurisdictions.

Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns, maintaining proper documentation and audit trails.

Assist with external audits and tax filings by providing requested schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.

Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Support inventory accounting, including standard costing, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical inventory to financial records.

Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting efficiencies.

Mentor or provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements-
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based environment

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal control

Experience with sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdiction.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
