Hartzell HeatingAir Conditioning is seeking a Residential HVAC Lead Installer to oversee residential replacement and installation projects throughout the Aurora area.
In this role, you will be trusted to organize the job, guide the installation crew, communicate with customers, and make sure the finished system meets Hartzell's standards for safety, performance, and craftsmanship.

A Typical Day May Include

Reviewing the scope of work, equipment, materials, and job expectations before leaving for the project

Assigning tasks to installers, apprentices, or helpers based on their experience and the needs of the job

Completing residential equipment changeouts and full-system installations
-
Installing and connecting furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, indoor air quality products, and ductwork
-
Making field adjustments when job-site conditions differ from the original installation plan

Checking measurements, connections, airflow, drainage, electrical components, and overall system operation

Performing final start-up and commissioning procedures
-
Inspecting the completed installation before the job is closed
-
Coaching developing installers on safe techniques, quality standards, and efficient work practices

Communicating project progress, concerns, or additional material needs to the appropriate team members

Explaining the completed system and basic operation to the homeowner
-
Ensuring the crew protects the customer's property and leaves the work area clean

Completing required job documentation accurately and on time
You May Be a Strong Fit If You

Have several years of residential HVAC installation experience

Are comfortable taking responsibility for the quality and completion of an installation

Have previously served as a lead installer, senior installer, or informal crew leader
-
Know how to install and start up a variety of residential HVAC systems

Can recognize potential installation problems and develop practical solutions

Communicate calmly and professionally with homeowners and coworkers

Can give clear direction without losing your willingness to work alongside the crew

Understand that leadership includes teaching, inspecting, and following through

Stay organized while managing job-site priorities and changing conditions

Take pride in clean workmanship and professional presentation

Can safely perform physically demanding work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments

Hold an EPA Certification
