We’re looking for a reliable, observant, and customer-friendly Security Associate to help maintain a secure environment for our Cincinnati dispensary.
Position Summary
The Security Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant environment for customers, patients, employees, and vendors. This role combines physical security presence, access control, and customer service, ensuring all state regulations and company policies are followed at all times.
This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role — professionalism and good judgment are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Security
- Monitor facility entrances, exits, and parking areas
- Verify customer IDs prior to entry in accordance with Ohio regulations
- Maintain strong situational awareness inside and outside the dispensary
- Conduct routine security walks and perimeter checks
- Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
- Coordinate with management and law enforcement when necessary
Compliance
- Enforce all Division of Cannabis Control (DCC) security requirements
- Follow company SOPs for access control and visitor management
- Complete incident reports and daily security logs accurately
- Ensure no unauthorized access to restricted areas
Customer Experience
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Help maintain an orderly and welcoming lobby environment
- Provide directions and basic store guidance when appropriate
- De-escalate situations calmly and professionally
Qualifications
Required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Professional, calm demeanor under pressure
- Must pass BCI/FBI background check
Preferred
- Dispensary or regulated industry experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
- De-escalation training
- Experience working in customer-facing security roles
