Position Title: Early Childhood Afternoon Assistant Teacher
Location: Fayetteville Montessori School – Fayetteville, AR
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Required)

Fayetteville Montessori School is seeking a caring and dependable Early Childhood Afternoon Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The Afternoon Assistant helps maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment during the afternoon program.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is looking for a consistent, part-time afternoon schedule.
Assist lead teachers in classrooms with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors
Support children during transitions, rest time, and afternoon routines
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Model positive behavior and encourage independence and respect among children
Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Availability required: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Previous experience working with young children preferred
Warm, patient, and professional demeanor
Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills
Must pass all background checks and meet Arkansas childcare licensing requirements
