Responsibilities
- Assist with food production and meal preparation, following established recipes and safety guidelines
- Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly, attentive customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of the dietary department, including cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas
- Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
- Obtain food supplies for next meal.
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Help with meal setup, portioning, and delivery to ensure timely service
- Support the dietary team in maintaining a safe and organized work environment through effective cleaning and sanitation practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in Skilled nursing facility, or nursing home, settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving, and sanitation standards
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience with food handling, cooking, and meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
