The Hotel Engineer/Maintenance Technician ensures that all hotel facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent working conditions. This position responds promptly to maintenance requests and supports the overall guest experience by ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Union environment

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Diagnose and repair non-functioning machinery and equipment.
- Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical work
- Painting
- HVAC maintenance
- Masonry
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and report items requiring further attention.
- Maintain and update the Guest Room Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures, including the location of all emergency shut-offs.
- Respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
Requirements: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education: Degree a plus. Combination of vocational education, apprenticeship, in-plant training, or on-the-job training required.
