Qualifications Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma
- Current background check, work physical, and TB test results on or before your first day of employment
Preferred
- North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (EDU-119)
- One year of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool
- CPR and First Aid certification
- ITS-SIDS certification
- ITERS and ECERS certification
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities and routines
- Create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities
- Observe and document children's progress and development
- Communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff
- Maintain appropriate classroom management and behavior expectations
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to provide high-quality early childhood education
