POSITION SUMMARY
The Lube Technician is responsible for successfully promoting and upholding the company’s Core Values (WIN WORK, ACHIEVE RESULTS, BE FULFILLED) with their team and clients. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance services on company vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and lubrication. The Lube Technician inspects equipment during service, reports malfunctions, and maintains accurate documentation in the fleet management system.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform PM services on small tools, light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as heavy equipment in the shop and in the field.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment during service and report any malfunctions to the Shop Supervisor.
- Properly document all malfunctions and condition findings in the company’s fleet management software.
- Communicate parts needed with Parts Administrators.
- Accurately document all parts and labor on repair orders using fleet management software (e.g., Dossier).
- Perform minor repairs when necessary.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of fluids, filters, and chemicals in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the shop and on the service truck.
- Conform to all company, OSHA, and MSHA safety standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.
MUST HAVE — REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing preventive maintenance or lube services in the fleet or construction industry preferred.
- Must have necessary mechanic tools to perform job duties.
- Must have knowledge of basic vehicle preventive maintenance techniques.
- Must have the ability to interpret service manuals and PM checklists.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions or in the shop.
- OSHA 10-hour construction card required.
- Must pass the company’s Driver Approval Process.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Pass mandatory employment drug test required.
- Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish at a level sufficient to follow safety instructions, complete required documentation accurately, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
NICE TO HAVE — PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with fleet management software (e.g., Dossier).
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- ASE certification or enrollment in an ASE certification program.
- CDL Class A or B license or willingness to obtain.
- Experience servicing heavy construction equipment in field conditions.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
