Position Summary
Right Way Construction is seeking a dependable, experienced Skilled Tradesman to join our residential construction team.
This position is designed for someone who already has hands-on construction experience and is comfortable completing a variety of remodeling and residential construction tasks with limited supervision.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, understands how to work efficiently on an active job site, and can contribute across multiple phases of a project. We are looking for someone who wants steady work, professional expectations, and an opportunity to grow into greater responsibility within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Skilled Field Work
- Perform residential framing, remodeling, deck construction, additions, repairs, and general carpentry.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials accurately.
- Complete demolition, preparation, installation, and finish-related construction tasks.
- Safely operate common power tools and hand tools.
- Read measurements, layouts, and basic construction plans.
- Identify potential job-site issues and communicate them to the Foreman.
- Assist with drywall, trim, doors, siding, flooring, and other residential construction tasks as experience allows.
Job Site Responsibilities
- Work independently on assigned tasks while following direction from the Foreman.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
- Protect homeowner property and finished surfaces throughout construction.
- Load, unload, stage, and manage construction materials.
- Use materials responsibly and help minimize waste.
- Track working time accurately and communicate job progress clearly.
- Help less-experienced crew members when appropriate.
Safety & Professionalism
- Follow company and job-site safety procedures.
- Use required PPE and maintain tools and equipment safely.
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners, subcontractors, and fellow employees.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing Right Way Construction.
- Show reliability, accountability, and attention to detail on every project.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of residential construction or remodeling experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of residential carpentry and common construction practices.
- Comfortable using saws, drills, impact drivers, nail guns, levels, and other common construction tools.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical construction work throughout the workday.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and communication skills.
