Member Duties : Take a lead role at the Chief Dull Knife College(CDKC) Food Pantry, expanding hours and improving delivery of basic needs resources to students. The member will connect students directly with elders receiving food boxes from the Northern Cheyenne Food Pantry (NCFP), providing hands-on support and making referrals to appropriate offices when additional help is needed. The member will build a referral system linking the CDKC food pantry to the NCFP to ensure students and community members are connected to resources. The member will work alongside local ranchers and regional food orgs to grow the NCFP's food supply, including facilitating annual cattle donations. The member will bring students to Bluebird Lifeways for hands-on demonstrations in traditional foods, food preservation, and medicinal plants, and will organize student volunteer opportunities on-site. The member will also support the CDKC STEM Department in introducing bees on NCFP land and assist with honey harvesting.
