American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with ABRET certification (or 10+ years of experience) and Epic proficiency to work in a hospital neurology department on a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

Outpatient neurology department setting within a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital
-
Neuro department consists of 2 Neurologists and 1 EEG Tech
-
Procedures include routine EEG, ambulatory EEG, and Smartskans, including long-term monitoring
-
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM day shift
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
ABRET certification required, or 10+ years of EEG experience in lieu of certification
-
Minimum of 2 years of EEG experience

Graduate of an accredited EEG program
-
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); American Red Cross certifications are not accepted
-
Active NJ license required if applicable (pending license not accepted)

Experience working at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital

Proficiency with the 10-20 measurement system for EEG electrode placement

COVID vaccination plus 1 booster required (religious exemptions accepted)

Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Performs EEG procedures in accordance with American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists standards and department policies

Coordinates and prioritizes daily work assignments, corroborating patient clinical history with the requested procedure

Provides Neurologists with appropriate patient information necessary for interpretation

Maintains EEG equipment in clean and functional condition, including daily stocking and documented weekly/monthly maintenance

Must be able to work independently

Candidates residing in the state of NJ are considered local and may be accepted at a lower pay rate
