Role Summary
Our manufacturing plant is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee our diverse production environment, which encompasses assembly, finishing, automation, and molding operations. By performing both proactive and reactive maintenance on our machinery, you will play a vital role in maximizing equipment uptime, upholding product quality, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience

Possess at least five years of practical experience maintaining high-volume manufacturing equipment, with a preference for those familiar with plastic processing machinery.

Demonstrate expertise in working with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Exhibit the capacity to operate autonomously while utilizing sound judgment and initiative.

Show proficiency in reading and understanding complex technical documentation, such as PLC ladder logic, hydraulic circuits, and electrical schematics.

Apply a proactive approach to troubleshooting to help resolve technical issues efficiently.

Maintain clear and professional communication through both written and verbal channels.

Demonstrate comfort with utilizing maintenance management software and general computer systems.

Apply knowledge of Lean methodologies, including 5S, problem-solving techniques, and Standard Work, to improve team efficiency.

Hold a high school diploma or GED, with additional technical schooling considered an asset.

Maintain a valid forklift certification.
Core Duties

Perform regular maintenance checks on automated systems, finishing tools, and molding machinery to ensure peak performance.

Work alongside production leads to organize repair timelines and reduce operational interruptions.

Identify equipment faults, source necessary components, and manage the procurement process for parts.

Service and repair essential facility infrastructure, including environmental and safety systems.

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Keep precise records of all completed work orders and maintenance tasks.

Assist in the successful integration, testing, and commissioning of new production equipment.

Utilize forklifts and other industrial machinery as necessary to complete job tasks.

Contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts and continuous improvement projects.

Keep management and colleagues informed regarding equipment status, production impacts, and scheduling adjustments.

Execute emergency and scheduled maintenance on various systems, including vacuum units, grinders, robotics, conveyors, and molding machines.

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by ensuring all operations meet strict environmental and quality standards.

Complete other duties and projects as requested by management.
