Are you organized, detail-oriented, and good at keeping things moving on schedule? Abrams Airborne Manufacturing is looking for a Packing and Shipping Clerk to make sure our products are packed, labeled, and shipped correctly and on time, every time.

Accurately pack products to prevent damage during transit
Verify part numbers, quantities, and customer requirements before shipment
Label packages correctly per customer, carrier, and company specifications
Prepare shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels
Coordinate shipments with approved carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight, etc.)
Weigh, measure, and record shipment data accurately
Stage completed shipments for pickup and ensure on-time dispatch
Move materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified)
Maintain accurate shipment and inventory records
Notify supervisors of shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
Inspect packaging for quality, completeness, and compliance with specifications
Maintain a clean, organized shipping and packing area
Report safety hazards, damaged materials, or process issues promptly
Coordinate with production, quality, and receiving teams to ensure shipment accuracy
Communicate shipping status, delays, or issues to supervisors
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous packing, shipping, or warehouse experience preferred
Basic computer skills; familiarity with shipping software a plus
Ability to read and understand packing lists, work orders, and shipping instructions
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and measuring shipments
Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Forklift certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods on the production floor
Manual dexterity for tasks like data entry, handling documents, and using inspection tools
Ability to read detailed data, charts, and technical information on screens and paper
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
