Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support in urgent care situations and assist in the ICU or hospital medicine settings as needed.
- Help transport patients to different areas within the facility, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to hospice care and other specialized areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to assisted living or hospital settings is a plus.
- Ability to lift patients safely using proper techniques.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
