Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with expertise in working on domestic vehicles and dealership environments. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the optimal performance of various automotive systems.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues, including engine, transmission, and powertrain problems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Align wheels and adjust suspension systems for improved vehicle handling.
- Work with automotive electrical systems to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently.
- Estimate repair costs accurately using auto estimating software.
- Replace shocks and struts as needed to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, particularly GM vehicles.
- Strong understanding of powertrain components and their functions.
- Experience with automotive electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of wheel alignment techniques and suspension adjustments.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes for accurate cost assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
